Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Mixed reports: several guests praised the hotel as very clean and modern, but multiple reviews noted housekeeping misses (socks under bed, poor post-sleep service, inadequate towel/shower checks).

Service

Generally strong — many comments about friendly, helpful reception staff and good overall service, though a few guests experienced unhelpful staff or restrictive restaurant seating.

Location

Consistently praised: central, close to Sky Tower, convenient for city sightseeing and transport (airport bus), highly walkable to attractions.

Room Quality

Rooms often described as comfortable with good beds, quality pillows and bathrooms; a few noted smaller-than-expected family rooms or minor maintenance/cleaning oversights.

Amenities

Good amenities like an impressive breakfast buffet and modern facilities, but some negatives around parking complexity, elevator noise and limited guest computer access.

Value for Money

Mostly seen as good value by returning guests and many reviewers, though a few felt pricing was slightly high compared with comparable options.

Convenient Location

Located in the heart of Auckland, Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland offers easy access to popular attractions and beaches like Masefield Beach and Hamilton Beach Reserve.

Modern Amenities

Enjoy a comfortable stay in our air-conditioned rooms equipped with a flat-screen TV, safety deposit box, and free Wi Fi. Guests can also indulge in city views from select units and enjoy a delicious breakfast with various options.
